Handwriting on the Wall

America marches slowly toward its fall,

As evil creeps inside schools

Training the young to heed its call.

Money flows, buying men,

Corruption eats away within.

Wickedness is long overlooked.

Protected evil written into law books.

Judges are bought, protestors paid.

Lenin and Marx rejoice in their graves.

Where are the churches

Raising moral women and men?

They entertain to draw masses

But their preaching is empty and vain.

Where are the Washingtons,

The Hales and Reveres?

Men once risked their lives

For values held dear.

When America falls,

The last bastion succumbs.

Believers prepare.

Persecution will come.

All this prepares for Jesus’ return.

Fear not, dear believer: He overcomes!

(original poem, Erica Bolticoff, 2026).

Election day is coming, and we are all sick of the partisan politics. Both sides are corrupt, but one proudly champions their communistic and socialistic plans for our country. I pray that the evil that killed my grandparents’ relatives in the Ukraine during the great famine engineered by Joseph Stalin in the 1930’s, does not make its way to America. However, it seems as if it is not this election, it will be the next.  America is crumbling from within, and she has lost her foundation of strength she once knew in God. Believers can and should continue to make their voices heard, but they also must draw closer to God now more than ever before. He is ultimately the One who places every power in place to accomplish His purposes in His timing. We do not place our trust in a political party, a president, or any other human influence. In God we trust.

25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe. Proverbs 29:25
