    1. It always amazes me how people who lived thousands of years before us are so relatable. God’s Word is a living Word, still at work in people’s lives today. Thank you for stopping to read and comment today!

  1. Years ago I saw a play where the part of the story when Eve lost her son, Abel, was portrayed. I had read it and heard it preached/taught many times, but until that day, I had never thought about what Eve went through (and Adam too!) losing a son. THEN her other son gets cursed and has to leave. Oh, the heartache! It helped me from then on to personalize the accounts more when I read them. How would I feel? When we so often shake our heads at how certain Bible characters acted, I have found that I realize I might have responded the same way. Thank you for this beautiful account of what Naomi may have felt. ❤ I am very thankful for friends who hold my hand through trials.

    1. Personalizing the Bible definitely helps us to have more empathy for others, as well as gives more understanding in our own situation. I am thankful for your friendship and cannot wait to meet you in person!
