They Wait for Me

Matthew 19:14
But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

There are two littles,

I never got to hold.

I never rocked

I never saw grow old.

My little ones never grew,

Or took a breath on earth,

But I still call them mine,

Without celebrating their birth.

Someday, I will meet them,

These ones I know by heart.

Their siblings we will introduce,

All their stories will impart.

Life is just a vapor.

Some short and other’s long,

But eternity will lend the days,

Trading sorrows for a song.

There will be no parting over there,

All tears will be wiped away.

Only joy and comfort shared,

Under Jesus’ loving gaze.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mama’s today!
