That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Howling breath assails the mast
As towering waves wash in,
Before my lungs can draw a breath
I’m plunged beneath again.
But ‘neath those overwhelming floods
His hand entwines with mine.
There is no violence can break that grip
Love lifts life from death’s confine.
The grasp of hope encases me;
His promises never fail.
Immutable, changeless, faithful God;
His mercy will prevail.
So waves wash in and winds, blow on;
Hope’s anchor stays me deep,
Steadfast within His proven love-
His Refuge, my Eternity.
Praying His blessing and favor over your week, my friends. As long as Jesus lives, there is hope, not only for this life, but for eternity. If you do not yet have that hope for eternity, please message me. I would love to show you how to know for sure that you have a home in Heaven with the One who loves you more than you could ever imagine.
Blessings!

I saw a quote just a few days ago; I think I remember that it was from Elisabeth Eliot. Anyway, it said that the strength of the anchor is determined by the size of the storm. Good words to reflect on! HE is our anchor! The great “I AM”! I noticed something in John 18 this morning. Verse 6. When Jesus responded that “I am he”, those there fell to the ground. They’d come to arrest him, but when he used the same words that God spoke to Moses, “I AM”, they fell to the ground before him. Couldn’t help it! I hadn’t seen that before. We truly do have a great anchor!!
