Not to Brag, But My Valentine Is Jesus

This week has left me depleted, confused, and in doubt of my calling. Forgive the transparency if I just fell off a precarious pedestal. Ha!

My plans for this post had been to highlight the love we can show God through obedience. Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” It is a great post, but it will have to wait for another day since the Lord reminded me of something even better this morning: His love for me.

He chose me to be His. He chose you, too.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Ephesians 1:3-6

If there is any Truth that challenges every lie Satan tries to wedge between us and God, this is the one: Jesus chose to make us part of His family because He wanted us.

This is not a long post today because one thousand of my paltry words could never describe the depths of His amazing love. So, this is all I want to say: Jesus loves you. He knows all about you, and He chose you. You (place your name here) are His: accepted, adopted, chosen, redeemed, forgiven, and loved from the foundation of the world. Whether you are a child or an adult, single or married, a sinner or a saint, succeeding at life or falling miserably short, wherever you find yourself today, you are loved by the One who shed every drop of His blood to prove it. Live loved today.

Have a blessed day!
