The enemy wins when we engage others with his own tactics. Angry, hateful accusations tread on his territory. Election season must be a fruitful season for his work to be accomplished, but no special occasion is necessary. Gossip, criticism, and disrespectfulness can become daily habits in our homes and churches. Election season will just magnify what is already residing in our hearts.
Jude says that when Michael the Archangel of Heaven contended with Satan over the body of Moses, he only said, “The Lord rebuke thee.” Jude 9. In heaven, when the “old Accuser” is cast out of heaven, the saints overcome him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:10-11.
Note that these believers during the tribulation do not praise their own piety and good works. They do not rail over the evil works of the anti-Christ. They give praise for the blood of Jesus that covered their own evil, sinful hearts with His mercy and love. They recognized their own unworthiness to deserve such grace and shared this gift with those who did not yet have it. It is the exact reason they were already in heaven. The only way the enemy could shut them up was to execute them. What a challenge for believers today!
When those in authority in our nation do and say evil things, anger may spark a quick response that threatens to come out of our mouths. Instead of saying the first thing that comes to mind, perhaps prayer should be our first response, and then recognition that the Lord will rebuke every evil deed in His perfect timing.
Elected officials have souls that will go to heaven or hell at their last breath. Not one of us goes to heaven because of our own good works, but only because of the mercy and forgiveness of Jesus. Those who have tasted this amazing grace are obligated to share it with those who are still bound to the enemy. Rather than aligning with the accusatory nature of Satan, we can be like tribulation saints. We can overcome the enemy’s tactics by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony.
What is your testimony? What has Jesus done for you? Who can you share that with today?
Yes, our nation is getting worse. Murder is commonplace. Good is punished and evil is rewarded. Jesus said it would be this way. How we respond will honor our Lord or shame His name. Let’s share His message of hope until the enemy has to find a way to shut us up!
Have you accepted the gift of salvation that Jesus offers?
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18
- To accept His gift, you must believe that Jesus died for your sin—anything you say, do, or think that breaks God’s Law. Lying? Sin. Gossip? Sin. Chasing after money, fame, power? Sin. Hatred? Sin. Not one of us could ever say we have never sinned.
- Next, recognize that your good works cannot pay for sin and confess your sin before God.
“I am a sinner, God. Please forgive me and give me this gift Your blood has purchased on my behalf.”
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:9-13
- Once you have accepted His gift, you are His forever. There is nothing that can make you lose your salvation or your home in heaven with Him at your last breath.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one.
John 10:27-30
- Then, tell someone what God has done in your life! The old accuser will bring up your past. He will try to convince you that you could not be saved or that your sin is too great to be forgiven. He is a liar. God’s Word is Truth.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10
I am praying for you! Have a blessed day, my friends.

Beautifully said! So true! Thank you very much for sharing the wisdom. God has given you through his word! I tell my Sunday school kids, even if you were born into this world and never sinned we would still die and go to hell because we all inherit a sin nature.
