What Do You Know For Sure?

“I am sorry to tell you that the results say you only have six months to live.”

“The test is positive. Your situation is incurable. Let’s talk about how we can manage it now.”

“Years of skipping annual check-ups have led us to a point of no return. There is nothing we can do now.”

Truth can be a hard reality. What we do not know CAN hurt us. As much as humans would like to think we each can live in our truth without repercussions, reality dictates otherwise.

This is why God faithfully warns of what is ahead, whether people choose to believe it or not. Death is a 100% truth with no turnarounds. God wants people to know that there are real consequences to entering eternity without Him.

But God warns AND provides the solution.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Hebrews 9:27-28

How can we be prepared to enter eternity? God does not make it complicated.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:9-13

1. Recognize that your sin has broken God’s law and separated you from Him.

2. Believe that Jesus died for that sin, and accept the gift of forgiveness He offers.

3. Confess out loud to Him in prayer your need for Him to save you, and ask Him to come into your life. Then, tell someone who can help you grow in your new spiritual walk!

There is a popular meme going around that declares that we cannot thwart the will of God. It is so true. Nothing we do will change God’s Word. However, we can thwart our part in it. Ask Samson, King Saul, Ananias, and Sapphira.

What you choose to believe about God’s Word will forever affect your eternity. Don’t you want to know what can hurt you? I know I do. Open the Bible and see for yourself.

I kept this short today on purpose. I wanted it to be shareable for a quick read. I am praying for anyone today who does not yet know for sure where they will spend eternity, that today will be the day that they know Heaven is their Home. https://clevelandbaptist.org/salvation/
