Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I pray your holiday is a wonderful time of reflection for all the Lord has given you. For many, this can be a sad time. Life does not plan around holidays. But the truth that sustains us, even in tragedy or grief, is who God is, how He is always with us, and His faithfulness through it all.

This poem was written last Thanksgiving and shared before, and it is also included in the file download below.

A Thanksgiving Psalm

Abba, Father, to You we run.
With adoration, our hearts You’ve won.
Beloved, Begotten, Son of God,
Christ, the King, You’ve shed Your blood.

To deliver man, his soul from hell.
You are the Door, the Everlasting well.
Your Excellent Name forever will bring
Praise and honor to our Faithful King.

Glorious God, only great and good,
Holiness led You to a cross of wood.
“I AM” became us as Immanuel.
They called Him Jesus, born with man to dwell.

King of Righteousness, King of Peace,
Laid down Your crown for a Lamb’s humility.
Mercy clothed You in humanity,
But death lost its grip from Your reigning majesty.

New life You give to those who believe,
Name above all names, to You all will bow the knee.
Omniscient You reign, Yet only always good.
You speak peace and purity where sin and shame once stood.

Quickener of life, Quieter of seas,
Righteous Redeemer, You reign eternally.
Our Shepherd who guides us, Sustains and Supplies,
The Truth Teacher whose every command will make wise.

You give Understanding, Unchanging in time,
Victorious over sin, the grave redefined.
Worthy is Your Name, For the Word You made flesh,
Your people forever will worship Your Excellence.

Yahweh, the Holy One, in contrition we yield.
The zeal of Your Word, eternally our shield.
For all this we thank You, for all of our days:
We will sing of Your mercy, forever Your Praise.

Here is the download for this month of Praise. Let me know if it does not work for you, and I will try to email it. Please share this post if it is a blessing to you, and, as always, let me know how I can pray for you!
