His Song In the Night
Like thunder that rolls and jars the still sky
God’s voice pierced the darkness creating first light.
And like crashing waves break onto sandy seashore,
His voice caused the waters to divide and converge.
Perhaps in a whisper, He commanded the sun
To enlighten the day; the moon when day’s done.
Bringing forth from the water, everything that has life.
And wing from the sky with colors so bright.
On dry land in all sizes and shapes,
His power commanded all creatures in place.
His voice I remember when my faith is not sight,
Sweet chords intertwine with His song in the night.
